Running an OSRS bingo event is one of the best ways to keep your clan active and engaged. Whether you have 5 people or 50, a well-organized bingo event gives everyone something to work toward and creates memorable moments when someone hits that rare drop on the last tile.
This guide covers everything you need to know โ from choosing the right format and building a tile list to managing the event and keeping it fun.
Before creating any tiles, decide on the structure of your event. The three things to lock in first:
Solo vs Teams
Solo works best for smaller groups (under 10 players). Everyone competes individually, and the best player wins. It's simple to manage and great for casual events.
Team mode is better for larger groups. Split your clan into 2-10 teams. Team members work together to complete tiles, which encourages cooperation and lets lower-level players contribute meaningful progress. Team events tend to be more social and exciting.

If this is your first bingo, start with 5ร5. It's the sweet spot โ big enough to be interesting, small enough to finish in a weekend.
Duration
Always set a deadline. Open-ended events lose momentum fast. Pick a clear end time and use The Birdhouse's deadline feature to auto-end the game. The player or team with the most points when the timer runs out wins.
2. Build Your Tile List
Your tile list makes or breaks the event. Here's how to build a good one.
Mix Difficulty Levels
Include a range so every player can contribute, not just endgame players:
Easy tiles (30-40%) โ Common drops, low-level skilling goals, simple tasks. Examples: catch 100 lobsters, get a rune item drop, complete a F2P quest.
Medium tiles (40-50%) โ Mid-level boss kills, specific drops, achievement diary tasks. Examples: get a Barrows item, kill Zulrah, gain 500k XP in a skill.
Hard tiles (10-20%) โ Rare drops, endgame content, long grinds. Examples: get a Bandos hilt, complete Theatre of Blood, get a pet drop.
Tip:
Match tile difficulty to your clan's average level. A tile that's "easy" for a maxed main is impossible for a mid-level account. When in doubt, lean easier โ players have more fun completing tiles than staring at impossible tasks.
Popular OSRS Bingo Tile Categories
Boss drops โ Zulrah unique, Vorkath head, Bandos hilt, Dragon warhammer, Abyssal whip, Trident of the seas
Skilling milestones โ 99 in any skill, gain 1M XP, base 70s, complete a farm run

Collection log โ Any new slot, specific log completions, fill a boss page
Clue scrolls โ Complete a master clue, get a specific clue reward, stack 10 caskets
Fun/random โ Get a pet, die to a specific monster, trade a stranger, hit a max hit, get a B2B drop
Minigames โ Barbarian Assault wave 10, 500 Pest Control points, win a Castle Wars game
Import from Google Sheets
If you have a tile list in a spreadsheet, The Birdhouse can import directly from any public Google Sheet. Your sheet can include tile names, descriptions, images, difficulty ratings, and tile types. This is the fastest way to set up a board.
The Birdhouse supports flexible scoring. The default system is:
1 point per tile completed
5 point bonus for completing a full row, column, or diagonal
20 point bonus for blackout (all tiles completed)
All values are customizable. Here are some popular alternative setups:
Difficulty-Weighted Scoring
Assign different point values based on tile difficulty. Easy tiles are worth 1 point, medium tiles 3 points, hard tiles 5 points. This rewards players who tackle harder content.
Line Race
Focus scoring on line bonuses (rows/columns/diagonals). Make tile points low (1) and line bonuses high (10-20). This creates strategic decisions about which tiles to prioritize.
Blackout Race
First team to complete every tile wins instantly. Set a massive blackout bonus and low line bonuses. This keeps every tile relevant until the end.
5. Managing the Event
Proof Verification
When players complete a tile, they submit a screenshot through The Birdhouse. As the host, you review and approve or reject each proof. This keeps the event fair and prevents false claims.
Pro tip โ Dink Auto-Verification:
Enable the Dink integration in your room settings. Players who use the RuneLite Dink plugin will have their drops automatically verified and approved โ no manual screenshot review needed. This saves a ton of time for the host.
Keeping Momentum
Post updates in your clan Discord when someone completes a tile or a team takes the lead
Use the built-in chat for trash talk and hype
Set a reasonable deadline โ events that drag on lose energy
Offer prizes (GP, bonds, or just bragging rights) to motivate participation
Admin Controls
As the host, you can:
Replace individual tiles mid-game if something isn't working
Kick players who aren't following rules
Move players between teams
Manually mark or unmark tiles
Extend or shorten the deadline
