Territory War is a map conquest game inspired by Risk, built for Old School RuneScape. The map is divided into OSRS-themed territories — each linked to a boss or activity. To claim a territory, you submit proof (e.g., a screenshot of the boss drop). Once you own a territory, you can attack any adjacent enemy territory. Combat uses dice: the attacker rolls 2 dice, the defender rolls 1–3 dice depending on fortification. Higher rolls win.
The Birdhouse handles the map, proof tracking, combat resolution, scoring, and real-time updates. You focus on playing OSRS and conquering the board.
Region bonuses reward controlling entire regions. Annihilation bonuses reward eliminating another player or team entirely. All point values are customizable.

Combat is simple but strategic:
Territory assignment can be random (territories assigned randomly at start) or by-region (each player/team gets a home region). Points per territory, region bonus, and annihilation bonus are all configurable when creating your game.
Territory War combines OSRS PvM with strategic board game gameplay:
Map size drives how long a war lasts. As a rule of thumb, aim for roughly 5–8 territories per player or team so nobody runs out of things to attack on day one.
| Territories | Good for | Typical length |
|---|---|---|
| 4–12 | 2–3 players or a quick 1v1 | An evening |
| 16–24 | 2–4 teams, standard clan war | 3–7 days |
| 30–40 | 5–8 teams, region bonuses matter | 1–2 weeks |
| 48–60 | Large clans, up to 10 teams | 2+ weeks |
Say your team holds Canifis in Morytania and wants to push into Slepe, which is held by a rival team and fortified once.
Had they rolled a 6, the attack would have failed and you'd need a fresh drop proof to try again. That's why stacking fortifications on border territories is stronger than spreading defense evenly — a fully fortified territory rolling 3 dice wins the majority of exchanges against a 2-dice attacker.
Territory War rewards coordination and map position: where you attack matters as much as what you kill, and a team with fewer drops can still win by defending well. OSRS Bingo is purely about completing objectives, so it's more forgiving and easier for casual members to follow. If your clan has already run a few bingos and wants something with more strategy and player interaction, Territory War is the natural next event. New to hosting either? Read the guide to running an OSRS bingo event — the setup and proof workflow is the same.

You can only attack territories adjacent to one you control. The attacker rolls 2 dice and the defender rolls 1–3 dice (based on fortification). Higher roll wins. If the attacker's highest beats the defender's highest, you conquer the territory.
Submit another boss drop proof for a territory you already own. Each fortification adds a defense die (up to 3 total). A fully fortified territory rolls 3 dice when defending.
If you own every territory in a region (e.g., all of Morytania), you earn a region bonus — extra points. Region bonuses are customizable when creating your game.
Two ways: (1) 100% domination — control every territory for an instant win, or (2) most points at deadline — when the timer expires, highest score wins.
